PURPOSE To provide the wound care practitioner with an updated overview of the epidemiology, clinical presentation, treatment, and prevention of skin cancer. TARGET AUDIENCE This continuing education activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interest in skin and wound care. OBJECTIVES After participating in this educational activity, the participant should be better able to: 1. Describe the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentation of skin cancer. 2. Discuss the diagnosis, management, and prevention of skin cancer.
